Birthday Party Guidelines

PLEASE READ THESE MOST IMPORTANT GUIDELINES

These guidelines are subject to change.

Thank you for choosing YOUNG’S SKATING CENTER for your child’s birthday party. Your child and his/her guests will remember this day for a long time to come.

In an effort to make the party run smoothly, please take some time out to review the following:

  1. As was explained to you when you booked your party, the price for each guest includes the following: Admission to the session, skate rental, a large slice of pizza, and a small soft drink (one per guest). Additional snacks are available at an extra cost and can be added to your final bill. (See the reverse side for other available snacks.) Bills will be settled toward the end of the session. The price also includes White Paper Products and Plasticware and Invitations that are sent to you after your deposit is received, a T-shirt for the Birthday person, and a Tablespace enough to accommodate the Children for the entire length of the session. Please keep in mind that the tablespace is reserved for the children at your party. Birthday parties will start being served about a half-hour after the start of the session. An announcement will be made from the music center for your guests to go to their table in the party area. The snacks and materials that we provide as well as your cake and/or ice cream will be brought to your table on a cart for YOU TO SERVE YOUR GUESTS. As all your guests are at your table, SERVE YOUR CAKE AND/OR ICE CREAM AT THIS TIME. As part of the birthday party package, you may bring in your own cake and/or ice cream. Other than cake and/or ice cream, NO OTHER OUTSIDE FOOD, BEVERAGE, GLOW PRODUCTS, PINATAS, SILLY-STRING, OR CONFETTI ARE PERMITTED IN THE SKATING CENTER!

    Adults are asked to relinquish space at the tables to the children while the snack is being served.

    Public Session Parties are Held in the Party Area and Private Parties are Held in the Snack Bar Eating Area.

  2. ADULT GUESTS:

    There is a charge for those adults that come in to watch the kids skate. However, if they would like to skate, they can come to the admission window to pay for their admission and skate rental. You may elect to include adults as your guest. As such, each will be added to your guest list and provided all of the above at the per-guest price.

  3. DEPOSIT:

    A deposit is required to reserve your party and to obtain your invitations. (The deposit for a Public Skating Party is $150.00 and the deposit for a Private Party is $499.00.) This deposit will be deducted from your final bill. Please note that this deposit is only refundable up to two weeks prior to the party. The deposit is non-refundable within two weeks of the scheduled party. We will, however, be glad to reschedule the party to a time up to three months after the original party date.

  4. OTHER SUGGESTIONS:
    • Our staff will be preparing the rink up until the time the session starts. Access to the rink is restricted up to 5 to 10 minutes before the start of the session.
    • Each of the party guests must be checked in at the admission window.
    • If you would like extra snacks, let the party host/hostess know when you come in. If you can, advance notice would be appreciated. (Extra pizza could take up to 15 – 20 minutes during a busy session.)
    • PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH YOU:
      CANDLES, and a PLASTIC BAG, to hold the shoes of the kids that have their own skates. If your guests need to rent skates, we hold their shoes in the skate room.
    • IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE PREPARATION OF THE RINK FOR THE NEXT SESSION, WE WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION IN EXITING THE BUILDING AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AT THE END OF THE SESSION.
    • Our Birthday Party Crew works hard to ensure that your party is a happy one. It would be greatly appreciated if you would consider a Tip for their services. Please leave tip at the office when payment is made. Thank you.
