Beginner
- Skills that encourage true skating balance.
- Elementary pushing techniques.
- Knowledge of the parts of the skates and what each part does.
- Skating body posture.
Advanced Beginner
- More controlled methods of stopping and starting.
- Balance on one skate (both left & right) for greater period of time.
- Use of scissor motion to develop better forward and backward skating.
Intermediate
- More advanced skills balancing on one foot and then the other going both forward & backward.
- Techniques applied in crossing over and crossing behind while skating around a corner.
- Techniques used in turning from forward to backward skating.
Advanced
- Body position and take-off of elementary figures.
- More advanced techniques for turning forward to backward and backward to forward.
- Elementary jumping techniques.
- Elementary spinning techniques.
- Elementary corner steps of a pattern dance to music.
- Skating with a partner.

🏅 At the completion of each 6-week segment, tests are given to measure progress. Each skater receives a Certificate of Accomplishment depicting the skills achieved!
